## What to watch for

- **Free stops at 1,000 MAU**: From September 2026 for new customers and October 2026 for existing ones, free mobile push and in-app need fewer than 1,000 MAU. Above that they pause until you upgrade, while other channels continue.
- **MAU includes devices that didn't opt in**: OneSignal counts active mobile users whether or not they've opted in to push, so your bill follows app usage rather than your subscriber count.
- **Each channel has its own meter**: On Growth, mobile push, web push, and email are priced separately. In-app is included with mobile push, so add up the channels you'll actually use.
- **Journeys are capped by plan**: Free allows 3 active Journeys and Growth allows 5. Custom events start on Growth, and more Journeys need an annual plan.

## When OneSignal's pricing makes sense

- You're under 1,000 MAU and need basic push.
- Your program is mostly broadcast and 5 active Journeys is enough.
- You want a widely used push SDK and can accept a bill that follows MAU.
