# How we compare tools

Tappd publishes these comparisons and is one of the options on them. Here's how we choose tools, where the facts come from, and how to correct us.

## We have a stake in this

We build Tappd, and we'd like you to choose it. Tappd appears first on our alternatives pages because this is our site, and that order isn't a ranking. We also say where another tool is the better choice, and when you should stay with the one you have.

## We read, rather than test

These pages are research, not hands-on reviews. We don't claim to have run every tool in production. We compare what vendors publish, and we don't give scores or star ratings because public information can't support them.

## Where the facts come from

Prices, plans, channels, and workflow features come from each vendor's own pricing pages, product pages, and docs, linked under Sources on each page. Where a vendor doesn't publish a price, we say so instead of repeating third-party estimates. We leave out review-site complaints unless we've read them at the source.

## How to read the channel tables

A check means the vendor's own pages list that channel. A dash means we didn't find it on the pages we read, and doesn't prove the vendor lacks it. Some channels cost extra or are limited to certain plans, so check the details on each page.

## How we keep them current

Each page shows when its facts were last checked, and we recheck them at least every 90 days. Prices change often and can vary by region, so confirm them with the vendor before you decide.

## Corrections

If something's wrong or out of date, including if you work at a vendor we cover, email support@tappd.io with a link to the source. We'll review it and update the page if needed.
